The Harris County Improvement District # 18, which includes the Harris County Improvement District # 18 Defined Area, will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2016 on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the offices of Allen Boone Humphries Robinson, 3200 Southwest Freeway STE 2600, Houston, Texas. Your individual taxes may increase or decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property and the tax rate that is adopted.

NOTICE OF TAXPAYERS’ RIGHT TO ROLLBACK ELECTION
If taxes on the average residence homestead increase by more than eight percent, the qualified voters of the district by petition may require that an election be held to determine whether to reduce the operation and maintenance tax rate to the rollback tax rate under Section 49.236(d), Water Code.
If you are located inside the Harris County Improvement District # 18 Defined Area No. 1 the total tax rate proposed is $1.50 per $100 taxable value. If you are located outside the Harris County Improvement District # 18 Defined Area No. 1 then the tax rate is $1.33 per $100 of taxable value.
